Very Rare German Brown-Complexioned Bisque Doll, 1301, Simon & Halbig

19" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head with very dark brown complexion, brown glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, black brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with very full downcast and firmly-set lips, black mohair wig, brown composition and wooden-fully jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, light touch-up on cheek rub-marks. Marks: 10 1301 dep S&H. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1910. Value Points: extremely rare art-character model has fine detail of deeply-modeled features which are enhanced by fine gleaming luminous complexion, fine antique costume.
