Germany, circa 1920, attributed to Dressel, Kister, the double half-dolls are extremely rare, this pair surely inspired by the "look" of then popular silent film stars Rudolph Valentino and Theda Bara which they closely resemble, including the gilt harness closely associated with Bara.
