16" (41 cm.) Very round and plump bisque head with flat-cut neck socket, pale blue glass eyes with spiral threading and darker blue outer rims, painted lashes, feathered arched brows, accented nostrils of tiny pert nose, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, original pate, blonde mohair wig, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with neck dowel for attachment to head, straight wrists and flat-cut derriere. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2 Bte SGDG. Comments: Schmitt et Fils, circa 1880. Value Points: the rare model with original distinctive body, has gorgeous face and bisque, brilliant eyes, original body, fine antique white pique costume.
