3 " shoulder width. 6" waist. 7" skirt length. The
ensemble comprises a sheer muslin white blouse
whose entire front bodice is formed of very narrow
tucks that are repeated at the wrists; the blouse
has very full upper sleeves and is further trimmed
with fine lace. The crisp silk taffeta skirt is of
brown and black silk taffeta with double-box
pleats,and unusual box-pleated straps. Circa 1860.
