Wonderful Collection of Early Miniature Dolls in Dome

3" (8 cm.) -5". Arranged under a glass dome are miniature dolls with sculpted hair, of bisque or porcelain, with muslin bodies, bisque or porcelain lower limbs, and wearing antique costumes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, mid-19th century. Value Points: the wonderful variety of hair styles, mediums, facial expressions that were created in these early miniature dolls is beautifully exhibited in this case collection; the brown-haired lady with sculpted bodice is especially splendid, and the pink-tinted porcelain children are captivating in their expressions.
