111 . Very Rare French Doll with Laminated Cloth Body Attributed to the Designs of Brouillet-Cacheleux
15" (38 cm.) with lid open. Resting in a woven hamper is an all-bisque baby with painted hair and facial features, jointed bent arms and legs, wearing antique knit costume and bonnet and holding a baby bottle; the hamper is decorated with blue silk bows, and is laden with toilette treasures including combs, soap, opera glasses, powder puff, brushes, wash bowl and pitcher and more. Excellent condition. For the French, circa 1910, a beautiful and all-original presentation.
